Emeritus Researcher, Former Director of the Hellenic Folklore Research Center of the Academy of Athens, which she reorganized and modernized, by digitizing its Collections, the creation of new facilities, the enrichment of its publications, the organization of international conferences and museums. He has published books and hundreds of articles, supervised large-scale research projects. He highlighted the importance of popular culture as a living element of culture and a means for modern local development.

Mrs. Kamilaki is a member of the National Committee for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture & Sports, a member of the National Committee Greece 2021 and Chairman of the Craft Committee of the Ministry of Development.
