SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

In the photo, the floor plan of the Knossos Palace. This is a building complex, the greatest centre of Minoan power, expanding over an area of 15,000 sq.m. The first palace was built circa 2000 BC and was multi-storey. The variety of building materials, the colourful mortars and murals adorning rooms and corridors are especially impressive. The high technical knowledge of the Minoans can be observed, among other things, in the complex sewerage and water supply network.
