SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
The mural depicts the famous bull-leaping games, the non-violent yet risky bull-fighting of Minoan Crete. The athlete on the left holds the bull by the horns, so that the leaper can carry out the dangerous reverse leap. The athlete on the right waits with raised hands to support the leaper while he lands. The mural was found on the eastern side of the palace of Knossos. Late Bronze Age, shortly after 1550 BC, Heraklion Archaeological Museum
