SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

This work is inspired by the myth of Daedalus and Icarus. A statue (photo) is located in Agia Galini, Crete, outside a cave where, according to legend, Daedalus and his son were hiding to escape the wrath of King Minos. From there they flew with their improvised wings which stuck with wax for it and melted as they approached the sun.
