SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
The figurine of the little snake goddess made out of faience and holding two snakes in her raised hands is one of the most important objects of worship found in the sacred treasuries of Knossos. The goddess is wearing an elaborate garment divided into seven overlapping horizontal levels and covered with a short apron and a narrow vest that leaves the chest uncovered. Late Bronze Age, c. 1600 BC, Heraklion Archaeological Museum.
